There is nothing more American than a good old fashioned hamburger. The bacon, mayonnaise and cheese piled high on a bun, make the whole experience a pleasure for one’s mouth. When traveling to the Detroit, Michigan area, there are several dinners and dives which can provide such an experience. While Detroit has always been known for its car industry, it is a great place to grab a burger.
Blimpy Burger is one of the best kept secrets. This dive grinds their own meat daily for the freshest burgers around town.I was looking for more information and found it here. They have won several awards in the area, for their ability to make the burger a champ. Piled high with fresh ingredients, this is one place to definitely stop. Another great hot spot is Chick-Inn. This place not only serves great burger, but they can deliver it to your car in a 1950′s car hop style. The pineapple milkshakes and onion rings are out of this world. No wonder so many people make this place a must stop on their way through town.
The Anchor Bar also received rave reviews not only for burgers, but also for grilled cheese with bacon. That sounds amazing just thinking about it. Detroit may be car central, but when it comes to food they do not do too shabby either.
